Il Baiyangdian virus (BYDV) o Duck egg drop syndrome virus (DEDSV) s è un arbovirus della famiglia Flaviviridae, genere Flavivirus, appartiene al IV gruppo dei virus a ((+) ssRNA). Il virus - appartiene al gruppo dei Ntaya virus costituito da otto specie del genere flavivirus.[1]
Esso è strettamente sierologicamente correlato al Tembusu virus.[2][3]
Il visus BYDV ha determinato gravi infezioni epidemiche negli allevamenti di anatre nella Cina sud-orientale, chiamate Duck egg-drop syndrome.[3][4][5]
