Biography
[modifica | modifica wikitesto]Golchini began her artistic studies in 2005 at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, earning a second-level degree in Visual Arts in 2010.
Her artistic journey began with the exploration of various disciplines such as photography, painting, and drawing. Initially inspired by the Kilim tradition, she later developed an artistic project that combines photography and drawing, creating works that blend these two expressive mediums.
Throughout her career, Golchini has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the first prize from the Associazione Olimpia Morata in Ferrara in 2014, both the first and third prizes at the "Vivere di Periferie" exhibition organized by Associazione Algo Mas in the same year, and the gold plaque for photography at the Premio Arte in 2015, with an exhibition at Palazzo della Permanente in Milan. In 2018, she held a solo exhibition at Banca Generali in Milan.
Between 2015 and 2016, Golsa Golchini faced a rare form of bone cancer that affected the use of her right arm. After a complex surgery and six months of immobilization, she developed new artistic skills with her left hand. This experience marked a turning point in her career, leading her to use both hands in her work, an innovation that characterizes her current artistic practice.
Since 2015, she has regularly collaborated with the Milanese gallery Winarts, which represents her work and promotes her exhibitions.
