Bright Young Things, o Bright Young People^[1][2], era un soprannome dato dalla stampa scandalistica a un gruppo di giovani aristocratici, mondani e bohémien della Londra degli anni '20^[3]. Organizzavano elaborate feste in maschera, bevendo pesantemente o facendo uso di droghe.

Hanno ispirato un certo numero di scrittori, tra cui Nancy Mitford, Anthony Powell, Henry Green e il poeta John Betjeman. Il romanzo di Evelyn Waugh del 1930 Vile Bodies, dal cui adattamento è stato tratto il film del 2003 Bright Young Things, è uno sguardo satirico su questo periodo^[4]. Cecil Beaton ha iniziato la sua carriera in fotografia documentando questo set, di cui era membro^[5]. Il marchio di abbigliamento di lusso Tallulah Tennant deriva da due dei suoi membri, Tallulah Bankhead e Stephen Tennant^[6].
